Palma has received her Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner and self-help instructor certificates from Jin Shin Jyutsu, Inc., Scottsdale, Arizona. Since 1997 she has studied Jin Shin Jyutsu with Wayne Hackett, Philomena Dooley, Matthias Roth and others trained by Mary Burmeister. She has used Jin Shin Jyutsu to clear herself of chronic esophageal reflux condition and uses this art to work with individuals with a wide range of health issues. She is also a Reiki Master and has an avid interest in helping others facilitate their own healing.
Palma has her own private practice in Newton and has recently joined Choices Wellness Center of Marlboro, and The Center for Balance to set forth their mission to teach holistic health practices and to provide alternative health services to all members of the community.
